Integration Back Into Life

So many of our clients have turned off all that is good in life and have become totally obsessed with their drug of choice. We at the Cove reintegrate the individual back into society at a pace that is comfortable for the individual client. Our facilities are located in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and North Lauderdale, Florida.

The treatment center is located in a professional office business complex in North Lauderdale. This location allows for a gradual awakening back into the real world. Here community meetings begin each day. Individual and group therapy takes place in our comfortably appointed therapy rooms. We offer our alternative therapy programs as well. Among the alternative therapies offered is acupuncture; massage integrated with aroma and music therapy, yoga, equestrian and wilderness retreats.

Lunch is ordered from the public menu of our first class diner where you are back in the 50's with dining counter and stools, leather upholstered booths line the walls, movie and music memorabilia and warm loving cooks who want nothing more than to take care of your culinary needs. Nutritious and appetizing meals are freshly prepared daily and served in our community center dining room.

Our client's residences are located near downtown Fort Lauderdale in the New River area. Amidst a sober living community of 144 clients, our residents enjoy beautifully decorated two bedroom, two bath apartments with living room, kitchen, dining area and porch. Four clients occupy each suite. Our clients, shop, cook, clean, do laundry, enjoy satellite TV, rest and sleep and begin to build a real family community of care and concern for others. This is "Old Florida" with native vegetation, plants, vines, gardens and trees where our clients enjoy the Florida weather, relax sore muscles in the hot tub and enjoy the natural native environment.

Our recreational facilities are located In Boca Raton Florida at a private resort. Our recreational therapist supervises the client's activities. The Cove clients enjoy the beach and water sports in the pool and Atlantic Ocean as well as two complete gymnasiums with fitness centers. The services of a personal trainer are also available. Supervised recreational outings include, movies, shopping, mall excursions, bowling and other activities requested by our clients.

Sunday worship services are available to those who wish to attend. Community service is also important in recovery. School presentations regarding the danger of substance abuse are given in the middle and high school level by our patients. Assistance at homeless shelters is also encouraged. We assist all of our clients in rebuilding their spiritual lives as well as their physical lives. Our programs are designed to activate "Life recovery." "We Bring Life back to you."
